Syncobj contents of directory to bucket
I am not sure there is a way to mirror the current directory to a S3 bucket using syncobj or cpobj. When using the syncobj command like: cd somedir; syncobj -r . somebucket:
, you would see the 'directory' (or more accurately key nomenclature describing directories) somebucket:somedir/
. This seems somewhat counterintuitive, as tools such as rsync will copy the contents of the current directory to the destination (cd somedir1; rsync -r . somedir2/
).
Despite being inconsistent, I can think of a few areas where this is an issue, especially since we do not support multiple source files with shell expansion. Migrating data is an example.
Any solution to this would likely involve a change of default behavior, so would like to solicit feedback.
